Two special tailored programs for students wishing to study for 5 or 7 months.

Journalistic Program:

The student of this course will be able to:

  • Learn 300 of the most common words specific to the field of interest.
  • Study articles on various subjects and become acquainted with the different newspapers from various Arab countries.
    The articles that are studied during this course are carefully chosen vital subjects that are found in all newspapers.
  • Understand newscasts from Arabic news channels that speak in fusha and modern standard Arabic and analyze the news and commonly used expressions.

Teaching Arabic to Non-native Speakers:

This program focuses on approaches to teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.  Students will learn the following:

  • To create appropriate curricula to teach in their respective countries.
  • To teach the different levels of skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) of the Arabic language.
  • Analysis of Arabic grammar from a learner's point of view.
  • Ways of presenting and practicing language.
  • Phonology
  • Use of materials.
  • Lesson planning.
  • Classroom management.
  • Use of audio/visual materials in lesson planning.

Conversation Program


This course will help you develop your confidence in speaking and listening in Fusha. The lessons are topic-based with an emphasis on vocabulary input and pronunciation practice. A wide variety of materials are used in order to focus on both fluency and accuracy. Courses run from Pre-Intermediate to Pre-Advanced level. We recommend a maximum of four courses after which we offer you a free placement test.
