Tajweed is a sacred branch of Shar'i Uloom. It is directly associated with the Qur'aan Majeed. It is a branch of Ilm which has attained its highest state of perfection in the very time of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam).
Jibraeel (alayhis salaam) taught Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) the way of Qur'aan Tilaawat with Tajweed. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) passed on this Ilm and the method to his Sahaabah who in turn produced the greatest Qurraa (plural of Qaari) the world has ever seen. |
